Head of Talent Development

We are on the lookout for a Head of Talent Development for our well reputed Insurance company located in Colombo 09.

Salary: An attractable remuneration will be provided for successful candidates


  • Build up and manage a team of talent development / learning professionals for Sri Lankan market to ensure implementation of globally defined Talent Development activities people management cycle are met for the team (i.e. Coaching, 1-to-1 meetings, Mid & End of Year reviews, PDP etc.)
  • Provide direction and guidance to ensure team priorities & goals are met
  • Proactively engage with TD team and HRBPs to support & drive local, regional and/or global learning & development initiatives, including strategic planning, forecasting, and end-to-end program management
  • Shape, roll-out and monitor the country talent development strategy in alignment with business needs and functional frameworks and rules.
  • Oversee the process of identifying and delivering to the learning needs within the respective entities and match business needs and targets with learning & development solutions.
  • Provide input to regional head for tools, systems and process enhancements and changes, monitor adherence and roll out of global functional rules and processes within the region
  • Enable best practice discussions & identify opportunities for synergies across the respective region



  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in Talent Development, Talent Management and/or Employee Experience
  • Proven track record of building, maintaining and leading talent pools and pipelines, running talent calibration exercises
  • Proven track record of leading a team
  • Experience in change and transformation activities
  • Experience working in a virtual team and developing strong working relationships / network within regional Center of Expertise (CoE) community
  • Previous experience in talent acquisition a plus
